Seed Saving Workshop
10am – 3pm Saturday 19 September
If you’re keen on growing food in your backyard, community garden, school or farm you’ll love this practical, hands-on workshop led by Jude and Michel Fanton of the Seed Savers Network. The workshop covers techniques in the selection, processing, drying, storage and conservation of useful plant seeds for the conservation of genetic heritage, diversity and enjoyment. You’ll be able to plan your own seed garden, and to help play a part in the global effort to conserve our wonderful food heritage in our own backyard!
This is a Sustainable Illawarra activity and open only to residents of Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama. Bookings and enquiries to 4227 7494 or vjohn@wollongong.nsw.gov.au. Spaces are strictly limited.
