A new gardening club, the Jamberoo Community Growers, is launching this month! The club will have a focus on helping people to grow fruit and vegetables at home, using healthy natural methods and tapping into local knowledge and experience. Talks and/or workshops will be held monthly throughout the year, with guest speakers covering topics such as rotational gardening, organic pest control, garden design, composting and more. Kids’ activities are planned to coincide with the talks, so it will be fun for the whole family.

The Jamberoo Community Growers launch event will be held on Sunday 20 September, starting at 2:00 pm at the Jamberoo Community Center. This event is free and there will be guest speakers, kids’ activities, trade stalls and tea/coffee/refreshments.

Annual membership of the club costs $15 for a family or $5 for an individual, which gives free entry to all talks and workshops (note some events may involve a charge for materials). Cost for non-members will be $5 per person per event (plus material costs).
