Jamberoo Community Growers, in conjunction with Number 10 Arts Precinct, is presenting a screening of the movie “Food, Inc” on Thursday 15th April 2010 at 7:30 pm at Number 10 Arts Precinct, 10 Allowrie Street, Jamberoo.

FOOD INC is a compelling documentary which critically examines the corporate control of the food we eat, the farmers and regulators, the effect of agricultural subsidies, the engineering and patenting of food and the current state of food safety in America.

Kiama’s Deputy Mayor Ben van der Wijngaart will be on hand for a presentation and discussion to offer insight into how the film relates to us here in Australia, what lessons can be learned from the film and what action we can take today to regain the health and sustainability of our own food industry within Australia.

Tickets are $5.00 at the door. The Cafe will be opened with refreshments available. Please ensure you arrive by 7:15pm for a 7:30pm start.
