Our next Jamberoo Community Growers meeting will be on Sunday 5th June, 2:00 – 4:00 pm, in the Jamberoo Anglican Church hall (next door to Jamberoo Primary School). No need to book, just turn up on the day.
The speaker at this meeting will be Andy Morgan from Gerringong, talking about backyard beekeeping. Andy keeps bees on his residential block in Gerringong. He’ll be telling us what work is involved, how to get started, and what the legal requirements are for keeping bees.
Future speakers we have lined up include Paul Kirkpatrick on gardening (July 3rd), and Tony Emery from Soilco on building soils (August 7th).
The bulb orders from our fundraiser have arrived, so we’ll be distributing those at this meeting. Please let me know if you won’t be there, and we’ll organise to get them to you another way.
There will also be the usual organised children’s activities. As always, please bring along your surplus produce, seedlings, cuttings, flowers, gardening magazines, etc for the swap table.
For June planting advice, refer to this handy web site.
Hope to see you there!
