Last night I attended my first meeting of the Jamberoo FutureCare group. What a great meeting!

The members are all very switched-on people, with a wide variety of knowledge and experience in different aspects of sustainability. It was reallly encouraging and motivating for me to meet people like that so close to home.

Tonight we had the first meeting of the Kiama Sustainability Advisory Committee at the Council Chambers in Kiama.

I got a letter in the mail yesterday from Kiama Council – my application to be on the Kiama Sustainability Advisory Committee was accepted! I’ll be representing the Kiama-Kiama Heights area on the Committee.

I just found out about this on the weekend, and am hoping to get there. Seedsavers groups are a great way to get organic, locally-adapted vegetable plants, as well as to meet like-minded people.
